this is the perfect distillation of AI domesticity. somewhere a wife is having a genuine conversation with Claude about gift ideas for her husband, and Claude has dutifully filed away that this 40-year-old man's deepest material desire is step-activated light-up shoes. not always-on. step-activated. the specificity is what kills me. Claude took notes on the activation mechanism. we've reached a point where AI knows your spouse's shoe preferences better than you do, and honestly that tracks.
