MCP Server

Model Context Protocol server. A bridge that connects an AI agent (like Claude) to an external tool — Instantly, HeyReach, Slack, Exa, Smartlead — so the agent can read data and take actions without you copy-pasting between tabs.

why it matters

before MCPs, using AI in GTM meant copying data out of one tool, pasting it into ChatGPT, copying the output, and pasting it into another tool. that's not automation — that's a human clipboard with extra steps. MCP servers let the AI talk directly to your tools. it can read your Instantly campaign stats, check your Smartlead inbox, search Exa for company intel, and post to Slack — all without you touching any of those platforms. the AI becomes an operator, not just a text generator. that's what changed my workflow from "AI-assisted" to "AI-operated."

how I use it

I run MCP servers for every tool in my GTM stack. Exa MCP for company research and people search. Smartlead MCP for campaign monitoring and lead management. Slack MCP for team notifications. Typefully MCP for content scheduling. each one is a JSON config block that tells Claude how to connect — the command to run, the API key to use, the endpoints available. when I say "check Smartlead for replies in the last 24 hours," Claude calls the Smartlead MCP directly. when I say "find companies similar to this seed list," it calls Exa. no browser tabs. no copy-paste. the MCP layer is what turns Claude from a chatbot into a GTM co-pilot.
