this is the flag we all need and nobody should ever ship. it's funny because it's a CLI flag that doesn't exist. it's devastating because it describes exactly what we do. you hit accept all, you open a new tab, you come back 40 minutes later and your project either works or has been rewritten in Rust. there is no in-between.

Anthropic announces free Claude access for scientists. The subreddit immediately assumes it's a data harvesting psyop. never change, reddit. the idea that Anthropic's master plan is to trick physicists into uploading their PDFs so Claude can learn about quantum chromodynamics is genuinely the most paranoid thing I've read this week. sometimes a company just... wants scientists to use their product. because scientists publish papers and tell other scientists about tools. it's called marketing.

If your session goes idle for 60+ minutes, the cache expires.
Your next prompt re-sends the entire conversation context uncached.
That single prompt can burn 90%+ of your session allowance.
