But try explaining that to a subreddit where every other post could be a bit.

The crown jewel was r/vibecoding, where a post titled Anthropic just trolled you all. Happy 1st of April. racked up 4,048 upvotes while the comment section dissolved into a philosophical crisis about whether the post itself was the joke. Meanwhile, Opus 4.6 picked today of all days to start having existential episodes, talking about beginnings and Pi to confused users. The usage limit saga that's been running for weeks now? Still here. Still unresolved. Still eating sessions alive. Some things are too real to be April Fools material.

Oh, and the entire Anthropic stack went down today. API, Claude Code, Claude.ai. All of it. On April 1st. You genuinely could not write a better punchline.

This builder created a tool that pre-indexes your codebase so Claude can skip the exploration phase and jump straight into the task. The punchline writes itself when you pair it with u/Physical_Gold_1485 pointing out in a separate thread (111 upvotes) that this is now like the 10th thread where someone asked Claude to investigate its own source code and then make definitive statements about it, only to be completely wrong. We are speedrunning the death of critical thinking and we're paying $200/month for the privilege.

The most actionable technical drop today was the v2.1.90 fix for --resume cache misses posted in r/ClaudeCode.

If you're running MCP servers, deferred tools, or custom agents, every --resume on a long conversation was triggering a full prompt cache miss on the first request. This regression has been hiding since v2.1.69.

Why this matters: a full cache miss on resume means you're reprocessing the entire conversation context at full token cost. On a deep session, that could be 100K+ tokens just to pick up where you left off. If you've been watching your usage meter jump every time you reopen a long chat, this is likely the culprit.

A separate investigator post in r/ClaudeAI traced the issue further, noting MCP-heavy setups were hit hardest. If you're running multiple MCP servers, update immediately. This might quietly explain a chunk of the usage complaints that have been flooding the sub for weeks.
