this is the part that bothers me most as a builder.
Clay's HTTP API column lets you call external services. Apollo's API. Your own webhook endpoints. n8n automations. Custom scripts. You're making a request to someone else's server using someone else's infrastructure. Clay is the middleman routing the call.
under the new pricing, every HTTP API call costs an Action. Clay is now metering your requests to third-party servers. the data coming back isn't Clay's data. the server processing the request isn't Clay's server. but the meter is running.
